As the Mechanical Intern, you will work on the design, production and testing of the mechanical systems that make up BeeX's flagship Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicle, and our upcoming vehicle design projects.

You will report directly to the Mechanical Lead. Your daily schedule will include frequent interactions with a multi-disciplinary team and you need to be equally comfortable working at sea trials and a normal office desk

To assist Mechanical Team with:

  • Assist with design and fabrication of mechanical components, mechanisms and electronics housings in CAD
  • Assist with FEA Simulation on design components for structural integrity and stress failure assessment
  • Drafting of 2D drawings for fabrication and assembly
  • Assembly and testing of designed mechanical components in the workshop and testing in real world environments
  • Sail out to sea for testing and evaluation of completed mechanical designs
  • Gather user requirements in collaboration with management team
